Maddy Gyselynck (pronounced ‘Geyser-link’, Flemish roots) is a British artist from London. Her work reveals how she sees physical world around her. She believes that the Arts are a fundamental way of processing experiences and connecting people.

Maddy is inspired by many great artists of the past, including JMW Turner, John Piper, Constable, and Sargent. Her main focus is oil and charcoal still lives and portraits, however some of her more experimental works mix media and styles. She's also increasingly working in three dimensions in bronze & ceramic and painting landscapes ‘en plein air’.

In 2020 she left her career in financial services in order to pursue art full time and now teaches drawing and painting at London Fine Art Studios - where she also held the De Laszlo Foundation Scholarship - around her own projects.

Further information on Maddy's process and details on her latest work at the Studios and elsewhere can be found in the Blog & on her Instagram page. If you have any questions, including if you're interested in buying or commissioning work, please check Purchasing Info and get in touch through the Contact page. Much of the work shown is available for immediate purchase on the online store, more recent paintings may require some drying time.
